Description

This half-day excursion is an invitation from local villagers to come and experience their rich and unique culture. The tour starts with a 40-minute trip on a local boat through the 4,000 Islands to Don Loppadi to discover local life and see how it intertwines with Buddhist heritage. There will be an opportunity to meet locals showcasing how they weave fishing nets and rice baskets and cook sticky rice. Travelers then continue with a fisherman by boat to another island, where they are shown how to throw a traditional fishing net before returning to Don Det pier.

Mekong River Life Excursion
You will take an excursion to experience the local lifestyle on the 4,000 islands for yourself. The tour will start with a 40-minute trip in a local boat through the 4,000 islands to Don Loppadi, where you’ll discover village life through the lens of Buddhism, meet villagers showcasing how they weave fishing nets, rice baskets and cook sticky rice. You will continue by boat to another island in the company of a fisherman who will show you how to skillfully throw a traditional fishing net. Finally, you’ll return to Don Det pier.

Vous partirez à la découverte de la vie foisonnante des 4000 îles en commençant par 40 minutes de trajet sur un bateau en bois, au départ de Don Loppadi, un village fortement influencé par le Bouddhisme. Les villageois vous montreront volontiers leur technique de fabrication des filets de pêche et des paniers pour le riz, et se montreront incollables sur les différentes façons de préparer le riz gluant. Realizará una excursión para experimentar el modo de vida local de las 4000 islas.  El tour empieza con un paseo de 40 minutos, en un barco de madera, a través de las 4000 islas hasta Don Loppadi. Allá, la población local le invitará a descubrir el día a día del pueblo budista. Los aldeanos le enseñarán la técnica para tejer las redes de pesca y realizar cestas de arroz. Le mostrarán también diferentes maneras de cocinar el arroz pegajoso. Luego, seguirá su viaje en barco hasta otra isla donde podrá practicar con un pescador local el lanzamiento de una red de pesca tradicional. Finalmente, regresará al embarcadero de Don Det.
