Our answer to the rising levels of construction ‘fever’ on Phu Quoc Island

Since 2014/2015, Phu Quoc Island has undergone ‘fever’ levels of development with many construction projects funded by foreign as well as domestic real estate investors happening in the main tourist areas.

This situation will certainly continue through the 2018-2019 period and is expected to extend until early 2020 at least. Therefore, we’d like to offer you some small caution that for last-minute bookings made for 2018-2019, the construction scene could potentially lead to rising levels of discomfort for travelers visiting the island.

To counter this, as Phu Quoc Island heads towards becoming an SEZ (Special Economic Zone) in 2020, we travel professionals will have the chance to widen our offers to travelers, as can be seen from the illustrations below:
Phu Quoc now                                                                      Phu Quoc 2020

Regardless of the current situation in Phu Quoc, we are still confident to offer the island as a well-rounded beach stay destination for our guests in 2020. In case your travelers are seeking a more remote island experience, we can still present you with other choices for a beach stay in Vietnam.
