LAOS – Hinboun – A Taste of Lao Hospitality

Description

A Lao family will welcome our travelers into their home to share with them a simple but friendly moment, providing an insight into the everyday life and great hospitality of the locals. As Lao people traditionally do, they will first organize a Baci ceremony to bless their visitors. If travelers are curious, they can enter the kitchen to see how the meal is prepared, before sharing all the dishes together with the family and maybe even some curious neighbors.

• We decided to merge our two products ‘’Baci Ceremony at a traditional home’’ and ‘’Cook with a Lao family’’ into one unique product ‘’A taste of Lao hospitality’’.
• Best to provide this activity on the dinner of the second night in Hinboun, after the ‘’Full Day tour on the other side of Konglor cave’’.
• Nice interaction between our travellers and a friendly family, within walking distance of Spring River Resort.

You will first be welcomed to the home of a local village family, well known for offering authentic hospitality. As Lao people traditionally do, they will begin by blessing you for visiting them as they perform a local Baci ceremony. If you are curious, you will also have the chance to observe how the meal is prepared before sharing it together with your hosts.
