Description

A unique fishing experience using traditional techniques. A local fishing expert shows travelers how to catch lunch in the Nam Ou River. After seeing a demonstration, travelers walk along the scenic riverbank to try it themselves. Lunch will be the catch of the day: delicious Mekong fish. Afterward, travelers will set off on a small boat to enjoy the dramatic karst rock formations on the way to the famous Pak Ou Caves.

Today you will enjoy a unique fishing experience using traditional techniques. A local fisherman will show you how to catch lunch in the Nam Ou River by using local nets : the cast net, locally called ‘’Hae’’ and the gill net, locally called ‘’Mong’’. After the demonstration, you will walk along the scenic riverbank to give it a try yourself. Lunch will be the catch of the day: delicious Mekong fish.
