In the morning, travelers are picked up by their guide for a comfortable drive out of the city into the lush landscape around Luang Prabang. After approximately 40 minutes, travelers will find themselves in an ethnic Hmong village known as Ban Long Lao. This activity starts with a walk around the village which comes with the opportunity to purchase locally made handicrafts. Following this, the 3h 30min hike to the breathtaking Kuang Sy waterfall begins. The hiking trail passes through vegetable gardens, rice fields, and forests and is mostly shaded by tropical hardwood trees such as rosewood and ebony.
