This tour is designed to allow travelers the chance to experience Mondulkiri’s jungle and learn about ethnic Cambodian minorities in an interactive way.

Travelers begin their hike from a Bunong village, a well-known ethnic minority in the northeastern region of Cambodia’s highlands. While at the village, travelers can learn about the tribe’s culture and, if available, visit one of the traditional houses. After this introduction, travelers climb a small hill with a view of the surroundings before immersing themselves in the forest. The hike is characterized by different types of trails, with some gentle uphill and downhill parts, crossing a small river and visiting waterfalls surrounded by the nature.

Around noon, travelers stop in a quite place in the forest, and the local Bunong villagers cook lunch using traditional cooking techniques. After a relaxing lunch, the hike continues until reaching the village the tour started at before then traveling back to the hotel.

Jungle Hike in Mondulkiri

Head out from your hotel to one of the Bunong people’s villages. The Bunong are a well-known ethnic minority in the northeastern region of Cambodia’s highlands, so seize the unique opportunity to learn all about their culture firsthand, and if available, visit one of their beautiful, traditional houses.
After your cultural introduction, start the hike, heading up a small hill sporting a nice view of your surroundings, before diving headlong into the forest. Hike through the jungle along a different, more secluded type of trail, with some easy inclines and downhill areas, and pay a visit to a small river, as well as some waterfalls shrouded by lovely, lush greenery. During the hike, if you’re eagle-eyed and lucky, you can spot some wild animals like wild chickens, gibbons or even a deer or two.
Around noon, stop to rest in a quite place in the forest, and the Bunong villagers will cook a scrumptious lunch, employing a fascinating, traditional way of cooking. After lunch, and a brief repose surrounded by the chriping of birds and rustling of leaves, continue on hiking until you return to the Bunong village. Finally, head back to your hotel in your private vehicle.

Vous quitterez votre hôtel pour mettre le cap sur l’un des villages de la minorité Bunong. Vous marcherez à travers la jungle en empruntant des sentiers plus isolés avec des montées et des descentes faciles. Aux alentours de midi, vous ferez une pause dans un coin tranquille de la forêt et des membres de la communauté Bunong vous prépareront un délicieux déjeuner en utilisant leurs fascinantes méthodes traditionnelles. Après le repas, vous pourrez prendre un peu de temps pour vous reposer en écoutant le gazouillement des oiseaux et le frémissement des feuilles avant de reprendre votre marche qui vous ramènera au village Bunong. Après cette journée bien remplie, vous monterez à bord du véhicule privé qui vous reconduira à votre hôtel.

Dschungelwanderung in Mondulkiri

Von Ihrem Hotel aus machen Sie sich auf den Weg zu einem Dorf der Bunong. Bei den Bunong handelt es sich um eine sehr bekannte ethnische Minderheit aus der Nordost-Region von Kambodschas Hochland. Nutzen Sie die einmalige Gelegenheit, alles über diese Kultur aus erster Hand zu lernen, und wenn möglich, besuchen Sie eine der schönen, traditionellen Behausungen. 

Nach einer kulturellen Einführung beginnt die Wanderung und Sie begeben sich zunächst einen kleinen Hügel hinauf, von dem aus Sie einen schönen Ausblick auf die Umgebung haben. Danach geht es direkt in den Wald. Sie laufen durch den Dschungel auf einem besonderen, recht abgeschiedenen Pfad mit leichten Steigungen und Gefällen. Zudem besuchen Sie einen kleinen Fluss und einige Wasserfälle, die von schönem üppigem Grün umgeben sind. Während der Wanderung können Sie, wenn Sie Adleraugen und Glück haben, einige Wildtiere wie wilde Hühner, Gibbons oder sogar ein oder zwei Rehe beobachten. 

Um die Mittagszeit herum, halten Sie, um sich an einem ruhigen Ort im Wald auszuruhen. Die Bunong-Dörfler werden Ihnen auf faszinierende, traditionelle Weise ein leckeres Mittagessen kochen. Im Anschluss an das Essen und einer kurzen Pause, umgeben vom Zwitschern der Vögel und dem Rascheln der Blätter, setzen Sie die Wanderung fort, bis Sie wieder zum Bunong-Dorf zurückkehren.
