To experience an overnight stay in a stilt house, is a once in a lifetime opportunity to gain real insight into life in a floating village. Connect with the community and the fisher family, a unique occasion to exchange information about the culture and the living and working conditions as well enjoy their Cambodian Cuisine…During the night with the locals, sleep in the large main room of the house hosting up to 20 people. We have fully furnished the house so as to provide an optimal comfort, as much for the bedding (mattress, sheets, pillows, blankets, mosquito nets, fan) than for the sanitation (toilets and cold water shower). Beds will be set up for this occasion in the house’s main room, where the guests normally sleep.

Departing from Kompong Kleang, you will board a local boat led by a captain from one of the surrounding villages.The small boat will meander easily from village to village and along the various canals leading up to the Great Lake. Once it reaches the end of the canal, travelers will soon realize the immensity of this lake, where the horizon stretches as far as the eye can see.

Criss-crossing the great Tonlé Sap at a leisurely pace will give guests the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the floating villages, inhabited by a vibrant mix of ethnic Khmer and Vietnamese families.

  1. Information tour guide should know about fisherman: Fisherman name, how many children does he have? What they are doing now? What kind of fishing technique he does? Tour guide can personally ask those questions when he first meet fisherman so he/she will be able to understand fisherman and easy to communicate. Moreover, it will help him/her to have well explanation to clients.
  2. Tour guide have to to call fisherman to reconfirm 1 day before tour start and tell fisherman know what time they will arrive at boat station because our fisherman have to travel to boat station to wait for clients arrival.

From Kompong Kleang you will board a local boat led by a captain from the village. The craft will criss-cross Tonlé Sap at a leisurely pace, giving you the opportunity to observe some of the small floating villages.

The small local boat is equipped with an engine, which allows you to move easily from the village and along the various canals leading to the Great Lake. Once you reach the end of the canal, you will realize the immensity of this lake, where the horizon stretches as far as the eye can see. During the dry season, a walk to meet the locals is offered before you set out for the cruise.

Note: From the 15th of February, due to low water levels, the boat trip cannot be operated with big boats from 10 pax up, only small boats are available (1-9 pax). So for groups from 10 pax up we will do the boat trip at Chong Kneas instead.

Visita a un pueblo flotante en el lago de Tonle Sap – Kompong Khleang

En Kompong Khleang, montará a bordo de un barco local dirigido por un capitán del pueblo. La embarcación cruzará el lago Lake Tonle Sap a un ritmo tranquilo, dándole la oportunidad de que observe los pequeños pueblos flotantes.

El pequeño barco local está equipado con un motor, lo que le permite moverse fácilmente desde el pueblo a lo largo de los múltiples canales que le llevan hasta el Gran Lago. Una vez llegue al final del canal, podrá ser consciente de la inmensidad de este lago, cuyo horizonte se extiende hasta donde alcanza la vista. Durante la estación seca, se ofrece un paseo para conocer a los locales antes de que se embarque en el crucero.

Nota: Desde el 15 de febrero, debido al bajo nivel del agua, en el trayecto en barco no podrán utilizarse embarcaciones grandes de más de 10 personas, únicamente podrán utilizarse barcos pequeños (1-9 personas). Para grupos de más de 10 personas se realizará un trayecto en barco desde Chong Kneas.

Las casas tradicionales camboyanas sobre pilotes altos son muy comunes en todo el país. Sin embargo, el poblado flotante y las casas en pilotes altos de Kompong Kleang son lugares en los que se disfruta especialmente al visitarlos y ser testigo de la vida diaria de los pescadores que viven allí, alejados de la vida moderna durante generaciones.

Mientras emprende un viaje de descubrimiento en barco por el escenario que ofrece este enorme lago, se reunirá con un pescador local que le dará la oportunidad de aprender y comprender más en profundidad el estilo de vida y las técnicas manuales de pesca de las personas que viven en el agua, así como las historias de estos hombres y mujeres, principales proveedores de pesado de muchos de los mercados de Camboya.

Visitate un villaggio galleggiante del lago Tonle Sap – Kompong Khleang

Da KompongKhleang salirete a bordo di una barca locale guidata da un capitano del villaggio. L’imbarcazione attraverserà il lago TonleSap a passo lento, dandovi la possibilità di scorgere i piccoli villaggi galleggianti.

La piccola imbarcazione locale è dotata di un motore che consente di spostarsi facilmente dal villaggio e lungo i vari canali che conducono al Grande Lago. Una volta raggiunta la fine del canale, realizzerete l’immensità di questo lago, il cui orizzonte si estende a perdita d’occhio. Durante la stagione secca, viene offerta una passeggiata per incontrare la gente del posto prima di partire per la crociera.

Nota: dal 15 febbraio a causa di bassi livelli d’acqua, la gita in barca non si può operare con barche grandi da 10 persone in su, sono disponibili solo piccole imbarcazioni (1-9). Quindi per i gruppi da 10 persone in su si farà la gita in barca a ChongKneas invece.

Mentre andate alla scoperta dello scenario del massiccio lago in barca, un incontro con un pescatore locale vi darà la possibilità di imparare e comprendere meglio lo stile di vita e le tecniche di pesca manuale delle persone che vivono sull’acqua e le storie di questi uomini e donne che sono i principali fornitori di pesce per molti mercati della Cambogia.

Besuch eines schwimmenden Dorfes im Tonle-Sap-See – Kompong Khleang

Ab Kompong Khleang werden Sie an Bord eines lokalen Bootes gehen, welches von einem Kapitän aus dem Dorf gesteuert wird. Das Boot wird den Tonle-Sap-See großflächig im gemäßigten Tempo überqueren. Sie haben die Möglichkeit einen Einblick in die kleinen, schwimmenden Dörfer zu bekommen.

Das kleine, lokale Boot ist mit einem Motor ausgestattet, der Ihnen erlaubt Sie einfach vom Dorf und entlang der verschiedenen Kanäle, die zum großen See fließen, zu bringen. Sobald Sie das Ende eines Kanals erreicht haben, werden Sie die immensen Ausmaße des Sees erst realisieren, dessen Horizont sich, soweit man blicken an, erstreckt. Während der Trockenzeit wird Ihnen ein Spaziergang mit Einheimischen angeboten bevor die Kreuzfahrt losgeht.

Hinweis: Ab dem 15. Februar gibt es aufgrund des niedrigen Wasserstandes kein Bootsverkehr mit großen Booten ab 10 Personen; lediglich kleine Boote stehen zur Verfügung (1-9 Personen). Bei Gruppen mit mehr als 10 Leuten wird die Bootstour stattdessen in Chong Kneas stattfinden.
