Description

Sam Roi Yot National Park gets its name, which means “Three Hundred Peaks”, from its impressive landscape. This trip focuses on two of the most impressive sights that the park has to offer, making for an exciting and varied day trip. In the morning, a short boat trip takes guests to the beautiful Laem Sala Beach where they can discover the enchanting Phraya Nakhon cave where the morning light illuminates a pavilion that was built to honor a former king. After a lunch at the National Park’s restaurant and some time to relax on the beach the trip continues to the lesser known attraction of Sam Roi Yot National Park. Competitor comparison

Many competitors offer trips to Sam Roi Yot National Park, but most only focus on Laem Sala beach and the Phraya Nakhon cave. Very few offer the Bueng Bua wetlands, and we use a “hidden” starting point for the boat trip to completely avoid crowds.

Pros

  • A way to differentiate in Hua Hin & Cha-Am area.
  • Very beautiful natural sights, real highlights.
  • Includes the lesser known Bueng Bua wetlands which is very beautiful but off the radar to most people.
  • A lot of variation, boat trips, beach stay and a hike.

Cons

  • Not accessible to everyone, essential physical fitness is needed (getting in & out of the boats, hiking to the cave).
  • A long day may scare off some people (even though the beach time around lunch provides a break).
  • Difficult to communicate/highlight the difference between our product and other trips available on the market.
  • Subject to weather conditions (primarily the boat trips).

Information

  • Activity program:
    • 09.30: Arrival at Baan Pu village to take the boat to Laem Sala Beach.
    • 10.00: Arrive at Laem Sala Beach.
    • 10.30: Hike to Phraya Nakhon cave (or time to relax on the beach).
    • 11.30 – 15:00: Time on the beach for relaxation and lunch at NP restaurant.
    • 15.00: Departure by boat back to Baan Pu, continue to “hidden” boat pier.
    • 15.45: depart from the “hidden” boat pier into the Bueng Bua wetlands.
    • 17.30: return to the pier and transfer back to the hotel.
  • Essential physical fitness is required! There is no pier at Baan Pu and Laem Sala beach, so getting involved in mobility. The hike to the cave also is quite steep and will be perceived as brutal for people who are not in basic shape.
  • Not recommended for young children, the minimum recommended age is six years old
  • Lunch is included at the National Park restaurant, the food is excellent and clean, but the setting is local. There are no options to upgrade the experience.
  • The activity is subject to weather conditions; if the sea is too rough, Laem Sala beach is only accessible by walking (another reason why essential fitness is required). The boat to visit the wetlands is not covered; a rain poncho should be provided in case of rain.
  • The Phraya Nakhon cave and the Bueng Bua wetlands are natural “wow” sights, with the former being pretty well known, the latter almost unknown to most tourists.
  • What to prepare:
    • Swimming/beach clothes
    • Good walking shoes
    • A change of clothes
    • Mosquito spray
    • Sunscreen
    • Personal belongings

Alerts

  • To operate this program, we need a guide and transportation, for which we currently don’t have contacts in Hua Hin and Cha-Am. Therefore, it should be part of a roundtrip with a guide, it should not be sold as a daytrip from Hua Hin or Cha-Am.
  • The activity is subject to weather conditions, if the sea is too rough Laem Sala beach is only accessible by walking (another reason why basic fitness is required). The boat to visit the wetlands is not covered, a rain poncho should be provided in case of rain.
  • Basic physical fitness is required!
  • There is no boat pier at Baan Pu and Laem Sala beach, clients may get wet feet getting on and off the boat.

  • The location of the hidden pier: https://goo.gl/maps/VDmgRFgE39XTdhZX8 the place should be approached via Sam Roi Yod Soi 6. The route proposed by Google is not correct!
