Description

The Bodhi Serene is a small and stylish boutique hotel that attracts a mix of well-heeled couples and families. The stylish rooms here are built around a garden courtyard with a large bodhi tree and a fountain. The top hangout spot at the resort is the lovely pool up on the second floor, which has plenty of comfortable lounge chairs. The overall ambiance is elegant, tranquil, and intimate.

The Bodhi Serene is on a quiet side street inside the city walls of old Chiang Mai. The resort is within walking distance of all the renowned temples and sights of the old city and is close to many restaurants, bars, and shops.

The Deluxe and Executive Rooms and the even more impressive Suites at the Bodhi Serene Hotel are spacious and luxurious, with polished dark-wood floors and comfortable beds featuring high-end bedding and cushions. Amenities include writing desks, large flat-screen TVs, safes, bathrobes and slippers, electric kettles, day beds, and terraces overlooking the garden. Big bathrooms feature what are possibly the largest circular bathtubs in Chiang Mai and have wooden shutters opening up into the rooms. Suites come with full kitchens featuring stoves, large refrigerators, cutlery, and microwaves.

While most guests eat out, the romantic poolside restaurant is also a tranquil spot for dinner. The pool gets plenty of sunshine, and has lots of cushioned lounge chairs around it. It’s right next to the Ficus Bar, making happy hour at poolside an easy affair. There is also a nice terrace overlooking the garden courtyard with comfortable chairs where afternoon tea and cocktails are served. The hotel restaurant takes up several floors. A free breakfast is served downstairs next to the garden and fountain, while lunch and dinner are served in the charming old house upstairs, which has birdcage-shaped lanterns with ambient lighting.
