How to get to Cardamom Tented Camp:

  1. First: guest from Phnom Penh or from Sihanouville or from other destination need to reach the Cardamom Tented boat pier.
  2. Then, guest will take around 30 minutes on boat trip from Cardamom Tented boat pier to Cardamom Tented Camp land.

The eco-camp is equipped with nine comfortable safari-style tents. The setup of all 9 tents are the same. The canvas tents are 32.6m². In tent amenities include Twin, Double or Triple beds; standing fans; bamboo and rattan furniture; bathroom facilities with hot water, rain showers, and locally-sourced soaps and shampoos; and spacious patios with sun chairs.

  • It an eco-resort which help to minimize the human footprint on the nature and sustainable tourism.
  • En route to Cardamom Tented Camp, you will experience the shift from lowland settlements, into the protected area of Botum Sakor National Park with its thriving flora and fauna. The journey itself is already an adventure and offers many wonderful photo opportunities.
  • Nearly fully self-sufficient, they are now planting a vegetables/fruits to cater needs.
  • They rather used the solar panel technology, and for the water is filter then filter back to the nature (continuous circle).
  • Each check-in is followed by a 20 minutes briefing of the property.
  • Have their own boat and kayak.
  • This Tented Camp is accessible only by boat (45-60 min)
  • Staffs are friendly and ready to help



  • Ask to do not charge heavy devices like computer/hairdryer etc…
  • The dangers of the snakes / spider is here but largely avoided by the knowledge of the crew.
  • In some areas of the resort, it is possible to sometime hear the generator. From the tent, you can’t hear it.
  • No air-conditioning in tent.
  • It not suitable for client who does afraid of insect.
  • Pet are not allow.
  • No children under 7 year old are allow.
  • Wifi shall appear slow due to the fact it is a remote area
  • Meal can be adapted to dietary restriction upon booking.
  • Only offer 1 choice of meal for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The meal are always different and very tasty, no á-la-carte or buffet. This is in order to avoid the waste and to do be able to coordinate the stock for being sustainable.


  • To ensure a smooth pick-up at the embarking dock, please give the lodge your local phone number or that of your guide / driver and contact the resort prior to arrival.
  • Boat in & out at Cardamom Tented Camp: timetable for boats (two ways) and price for private boat.
    • Check-in: The boat is scheduled to leave embarking dock in Trapeang Roung village to resort at 2pm
    • Check-out: Check-out time is before noon, check out at 8am or 12pm, when the boat leaves Cardamom tented camp for Trapeang Roung village.
  • This resort is best for couples who are self-sufficiently happy to be in seclusion, away from outside civilization, and communing with everything nature has to offer.
  • The tents are positioned 9 tents in total  with 4 twin  and  5 double and inside the spacious tented camp with well set up- double or twin with toilet inside 1 table, 1 hanger I morrow 2 small tables with lamps and plug and amenities, 1 jur of water, 1 small first aid kit, 1 head lamp, 1 book as introduction. There is a wooden path that connect to the tents, on the path there are light sensor for showing the trail during night time.
  • The restaurant and Lobby are together – on the right they have a 2 small table with 2 sofa a 4 chairs for relax, welcoming people and check in. There is a bar – possible selection of alcohol.

Special information

  • WEATHER: The coolest and most pleasant season of the year runs from November to February, with it heating up during March to June. The rainy season tends to run from July through October but they will have occasional rain from mid-April. September and October historically receive around 90 percent of the year’s rainfall (around 5 meters of rain) and the river can rise quite dramatically.
  • RECOMMENDED DRESS CODE FOR THE OCCASION: Resort will not allow anyone to go trekking in open shoes, sandals or flip flops. A wide brimmed hat is also a good option to have when kayaking and while our current mosquito population is not particularly bad, mosquito repellent is also recommended for the evenings
