Le Jardin Du Mekong is an eco-homestay located in Cho Lach District – Ben Tre province, which is 40km from Ben Tre city, 120 km far away from Ho Chi Minh City, on a small Mekong branch, in the middle of tropical fruits trees: coconuts, bananas, papayas, mangos, pinaples, .v.v…. where you are welcome by the host (Mr Vinh) and his family are super nice and his sister in law and mother are both fantastic cooks.
And, you will be invited to cook some traditional food, especially Vietnamese pancakes with the family. The homestay has 9 fan bungalows situated in beautiful gardens, where in morning you can take a bicycle to go around or afternoons in the hammock, reading and relaxing in the lush, fabulous garden are idyllic.

• The homestay is surrounded by a network of concrete tracks that are very easy for bicycling, and boat tours are also available.

Pros

• A wonderful experience meeting local people by walking/ biking around the village lanes or on a boat trip up the Mekong.
• The place is nice and authentic with a small huttle in a garden.
• The host – Mr. Vinh, is very warm welcome & inviting, with excellent English.
• The homecooked food is fresh & tasty.

Cons

• No Air Conditioner, and it is a bit dark inside the room.
• It is not so quiet because sometimes there is a karaoke nearby.
• The noise of the countryside animals (birds, frogs, or roosters crow early in the morning .v.v.).

Notes

• Rooms only have fans.
• There is no bicycle for children.
• Mr Xuan Khanh – a French-speaking guide and owner of the homestay- welcomed Easia’s guests.
• Mr Vinh – the host and his family are super friendly and welcoming. The ladies in the homestay are both fantastic cooks.
• It takes about 10-15 min to arrive at the homestay; the luggage will be moved to the homestay by the host’s motorbike.
