Day 1

Arrival in Chiang Mai

Welcome to Chiang Mai! Upon arrival at Chiang Mai airport, you will meet your driver and local guide and travel by car to your hotel. In the late afternoon, set out by e-tuk-tuk to explore Chiang Mai. You will pass the three central neighborhoods of the city (the riverside, the old town, and the Nimman area) while tasting some delicious local treats along the way.
After having some authentic Northern delicacies, your e-tuk-tuk will take you into the old city center at night for sightseeing taste some famous street food.

Day 2

Chiang Mai

Start the day early by making merit. Next, you will head to a nature trail known as the “Monk’s Trail.” From the starting point, you will walk along a small path that arrives at several quiet temples surrounded by nature. It is also an opportunity to stroll through the shops and small craft stalls and have a refreshing drink at one of the trendy cafes serving locally grown coffee. After your walking tours, indulge your senses in a genuine old-style Thai massage.

Day 3

Chiang Mai - Chiang Rai

After breakfast, you will leave Chiang Mai and drive to Chiang Rai province. Along the drive towards the Golden Triangle area, you will discover the marvelous Wat Rong Khun, Black House. Your destination for today will be the charming Lanjia Lodge.
You will visit the nearby Hmong and Lahu hill tribe villages in the afternoon. You will enjoy a delicious dinner accompanied by traditional hill tribe dances in the evening.

Day 4

Chiang Saen

After having breakfast, you will explore the famed Golden Triangle area and try delicious local dishes. On your way back to the lodge, make a stop at the ancient town of Chiang Saen with a visit to Wat Chedi Luang – the ruins of a sacked temple left abandoned. Overnight at Lanjia Lodge.

Day 5

Fang

After checking out, you will head to Doi Mae Salong, one of Northern Thailand’s most picturesque regions. Back down in the valley, you will take a long-tail boat for a scenic ride on the Kok River; the boat ride will take you from Baan Pha Tai, an ethnic Lahu village, past scenic landscapes local villages to Thaton. From here, you will continue to Fang to spend the night. Your local dinner tonight will be served by the rice fields (subject to weather conditions), giving you an awe-inspiring vista over which you’ll dine.

Day 6

Doi Pu Muen (Chiang Mai)

Today you will travel to Doi Pu Muen, a part of Doi Pha Hom Pok national park. The locals will explain how they process the tea and coffee from the plant into an excellent package, ready to sell. You also prepare a local lunch with the villagers. Then, there will be another visit to Doi Pu Muen waterfall, which is easily reachable by a nature trail, and, depending on the season, you will be able to take a refreshing dip.

Day 7

Fang - Akha Community

After breakfast, head towards Phrao. Here, you’ll meet your local guide who will take you to explore the remote Akha villages in the nearby mountains. You start to trek from a small trail through the forest to the next village. Your final destination of the day is a village near the top of the mountain, where you will spend the night in a local house.The villagers will cook up a local meal for you and afterward will showcase some of their traditional songs and dances.

Day 8

Akha Community - Phrao

After breakfast, over a cup of locally grown coffee, the exploration continues. More villages are waiting to be investigated, and the locals are ready to explain their way of life to all comers. A final walk down a small agricultural trail towards the valley marks the end of this unforgettable excursion.

Day 9

Phrao - Chiang Mai

Your coffee/tea will be brought to your room as your wake-up call at dawn. You will start the day with a sunrise cycling trip along a rural country road to visit a village market. . You will make your way back to Khum Lanna along a scenic route of canals and rice fields. Upon your return, a Lanna-style breakfast awaits you at the riverside.

Day 10

Chiang Mai

After breakfast, you will depart from the hotel to the Mae Sa area, north of Chiang Mai City, to join the full day cycling trip in the Mae Sa area; you will make various stops along the way, like an orchid farm, a bee farm, and beautiful temples.

Day 11

Chiang Mai Departure

After checking out, you will meet your driver and guide and travel to Chiang Mai airport for your onward flight.
