Day 1

Arrival in Hanoi

Welcome to Vietnam!

In the morning, you will be welcomed by your local guide at the airport, followed by a car transfer to the hotel for check-in. In the afternoon, you will experience the life of a Hanoian in the 1950s and travel through the Old Quarter on a cycle rickshaw for 45 minutes and stroll out the city center.

Day 2

Hanoi

In the morning, you will visit the Temple of Literature. Next, you will continue to the South of Hanoi and meet a water-puppet artisan at his own house. In the afternoon, you will visit the Ethnology Museum, where you will learn about a specific aspect of the local culture.

Day 3

Hanoi – Ninh Binh

In the morning, you will travel to Ninh Binh province, located in the south of Hanoi. You will visit Van Long Nature Reserve and its villages by boat and bicycle. In the afternoon, depart for Hoa Lu, one of the most famous sites in Vietnam. Here, in the forest’s heart, you will discover the two temples of King Dinh and Le, which date back to the 10th century, before heading to your hotel.

Day 4

Ninh Binh - Halong Bay

You will travel to Halong and arrive around noon. You will embark on a cruise in the must-see Lan Ha Bay, a part of Halong Bay. You will be served lunch and dinner aboard with freshly caught seafood from the bay.

Day 5

Halong - Hanoi - Hue

Early in the morning (depending on the season), you will wake up to enjoy the sunrise over the aquamarine waters of the bay. The cruise will tour around the bay until you disembark at the end of the morning. After that, you will then return to Hanoi where you will embark on a flight to Hue.
Day 6

Hue

In the morning, you will visit the majestic Imperial Citadel of Hue. To deepen your knowledge of the city and its structure, you will meet an expert historian of Hue at his house, enjoy a cup of tea and listen to the stories about the local history, the origin of the imperial city, and the culture of the prohibition that ensued. Enjoy the peaceful aura and learn about the history of Gia Long during your visit.

Day 7

Hue

You will reach Phuoc Tich, a 500-year-old village in Hue, in the morning. Visit Mr. Dien’s house, an elder local of the town, to see a traditional ceramic kiln and his impressive pottery collections. Leaving the village, you will then drive to Tam Giang Lagoon. You will discover the local life of the people living around the lagoon and then refresh yourself before having lunch at a local house with a beautiful view of the fisherman’s boats and the lagoon.
You will return to the house, take a bike ride to the village, and head back to Hue late afternoon.

Day 8

Hue - Hoi An

In the morning, you will leave Hue for Danang city. You will travel via the spectacular “Hai Van” route, which offers a superb panoramic view of the bay below. Once you arrive in Danang, you will stop at the must-visit Cham Museum to see the last of the Cham sculptures. The final departure the day is Hoi An Town.

Day 9

Hoi An

Early in the morning, you will start your exploration of Hoi An’s Old Town by walking.  You will then begin a bicycle ride, crossing Cam Kim Bridge to reach the other side of Thu Bon River, and continue riding to a small village. After lunch, you will enjoy a walk along the bustling streets and taste Hoi An’s famous cuisine. You will spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure.

Day 10

Hoi An - Ho Chi Minh City

You will leave Hoi An and head to Danang airport to take a flight to Ho Chi Minh City.  Discovery of the capital of the South’s major historical sites.

Day 11

Ho Chi Minh City - Ben Tre

You will depart from Ho Chi Minh City to explore Ben Tre in the Mekong Delta for the boat & bicycle combine trip in the morning. Engage with local communities, learn about the cottage industries key to this area’s success and sample an array of Mekong snacks. Enjoy your night in Ben Tre.

Day 12

Ben Tre - Ho Chi Minh City Departure

In the morning, you will cycle to a small local market, after which you will embark on a local ferry and cross an arm of the Mekong. You will then cycle around a small island, passing many houses and coconut trees. After some time to rest, you will travel back to Ho Chi Minh City for your international flight.
