Myanmar – Visa on arrival now available to select countries

Myanmar continues to open more and more doors for curious visitors. A tourist visa on arrival will now be possible for Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, New Zealand and Luxembourg passport holders visiting the country, starting from 1 January, 2020.

Details regarding the visa:

  • The above-mentioned citizens can apply for a tourist visa on arrival at Myanmar’s international airports: Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw
  • The visa fee is 50 USD and grants a stay of maximum 30 days
  • The passport must be valid beyond 6 months of arrival date in Myanmar
  • Two recent (4cm x 6cm) color photos taken within the past six months must be provided
