Discover the beauty of Vietnam – 12 Days & 11 Nights

Upon arrival you will be welcomed at Hanoi Airport and travel by air-conditioned vehicle to the city and your hotel for check in. The rest of the day will be free at your leisure

Today, start to visit Hanoi in a funny way, a Polaroid Tour ! You will heading to the old city gate before walking through an old neighborhood, a small, bustling market. Then, after visiting one of the oldest temples in Hanoi, you will stroll through the small alleys of the Old Quarter. Occasions to use the Polaroid are countless, but keep in mind that you will have to snap a few specific places mentioned in your “Polaroid Pack” to get a free drink.

In the afternoon continue your discovery of Hanoi with the famous Temple of Literature, also known as the “First University of Vietnam”. After that, climb into a traditional cyclofor a tour of the city’s traditional 36 streets in the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake vicinity with ancient Ngoc Son Temple. Complete your experience of Hanoi in the early evening with a traditional water puppet show perhaps followed by a walk around Hoan Kiem lake.

In the morning, you will continue to explore Hanoi with the famous Ethnology Museum where you can learn about the culture and customs of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups. You will then go back to the hotel and enjoy free time at your leisure.

In the morning you will leave Hanoi for Halong Bay, a stunning UNESCO World Heritage site with its 3,000 islands of towering limestone dotting the bay and Gulf of Tonkin. You will arrive in Halong in the late morning and will board a traditional wooden junk to begin your exploration of magical Halong Bay, one of Southeast Asia’s premier travel destinations.

If you manage to wake up early enough, you will witness a spectacular dawn over the bay. After a light breakfast you will continue your cruise to view the beauty of the islands that dot the bay. In the later morning you will enjoy a brunch served on board your junk as you will head back to the pier ready to travel to the airport for your onward flight to Hue. On the way, you will make a stop to visit a pagoda. Upon arrival at Hue Airport, you will be met by our local guide and taken to your hotel.

In the morning, travel by car to visit the Thien Mu pagoda, then board a motor-boat and travel down the Perfume River to Tien Non pier, where your bikes will be waiting. From there, you will set off for a very pleasant bike ride to the village of Sinh, with a stopover in the village of Thanh Tien. The ride is easy, the two villages being only a few kilometers apart on flat ground and the landscapes along the route are very typical but also at times surprising.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Imperial Palace (the Citadel), then you will be given an introduction to Hue’s kite history, the tools and materials used to make kites.At the end of the lesson, you will be presented with your own handmade kite and you will fly it together with some local kite flyers.

In the morning, you will pay a visit to the tomb of Minh Mang. Afterwards board the train to Danang via the scenic Hai Van Pass to view one of the most beautiful panoramas in Vietnam. The standards on the train are very basic, however this will be a perfect chance to mingle with the locals while admiring the best part of Vietnam’s beautiful coastline. You will arrive in Danang in the afternoon, and then take a private car to drive to Hoi An (45 minutes travel time) and check in at hotel. The remainder of the day will be free to relax and unwind.

You will depart the hotel for a discovery tour around Hoi An. Start with a boat ride to the mouth of Thu Bon river to enjoy the daily activities of the fishing people such as throwing a fishing net and trading their products. Your boat will then continue cruising for about half an hour to a fishing village where you will change to a smaller bamboo boat to discover a distinctive mangrove forest. You will head back to the main land in mid-morning and will then take a stroll through the small streets of the town to explore some of the two-century-old Chinese houses.

In the afternoon, you will join a workshop for producing lanterns, where you will have the chance to learn this traditional handicraft and create one yourself. The rest of day will be at your leisure to enjoy the beach or Hoi An town.

Day free to enjoy the beach and sea in Hoi An

In the morning you will be driven to Danang airport for a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City. From the airport you will travel to the city to start your exploration of this dynamic metropolis. You will visit the historic sites including: the Old Post Office,the Notre Dame cathedral, Dong Khoi Street and the Chinese District of Cho Lon with bustling Binh Tay Market and Thien Hau Pagoda. You will be back at your hotel later in the afternoon.

You will discover the Cholon neighborhood by transforming yourself into a real life detective and solve a fascinating investigation. You will be introduced to the game and equipped with a detective kit, then it will be your turn to solve the murder of the Dr Lam. A funny moment for the kids and the parents! At lunchtime, a short cyclo ride will take you to a local Chinese restaurant in the area. Enjoy free time at your leisure on afternoon.
