Set along Phuket’s untouched northwest coast, Trisara is a place where nature, wellbeing, and thoughtful design come together effortlessly. Known for its serene atmosphere and deeply considered wellness philosophy, the resort invites guests to slow down and reconnect with themselves and with the natural world around them.
Meet Ms. Panjama Leamsuwan, Chief Experience Officer at Trisara and across Montara Hospitality Group. In this interview, Panjama shares about her journey with the resort, the role of wellness in shaping the guest experience at Trisara, and what guests can expect from a stay that goes far beyond relaxation.

My name is Panjama Leamsuwan, and I’m the Chief Experience Officer at Trisara and across Montara Hospitality Group. I’ve been part of the Trisara team for 12 years now, having started in the commercial function before my role gradually expanded to include operations and the overall guest experience.
Being here for so long has given me a deep understanding of how the resort has evolved while staying true to its core values. At the heart of my role is ensuring that every guest experience feels thoughtful, personal, and aligned with Trisara’s values.

Design plays a very important role in how guests feel here. All of our villas are private pool villas with uninterrupted sea views, and each one is carefully positioned to face the Andaman Sea while being naturally screened by the surrounding landscape. That sense of privacy really allows guests to let go and fully relax.
The architecture follows the land’s natural contours rather than reshaping them. Existing trees were preserved wherever possible, helping maintain the site’s original tropical character. With open-plan layouts, expansive terraces, and seamless indoor-outdoor living, guests remain constantly connected to nature through natural light, sea breezes, and quiet moments that naturally support rest, rejuvenation, and mindful living.

JARA Wellness is guided by a philosophy of rooted growth, balance, and longevity. It draws inspiration from the ancient ficus tree, which symbolizes resilience, connection, and renewal — values that closely reflect our approach to wellbeing.
Under the leadership of our Wellness Director, David Howard Melladew, a Doctor of Traditional Japanese Medicine, JARA blends Eastern wisdom with personalized, contemporary wellness practices. Our signature concepts include holistic assessments, Japanese meridian therapies, Kiko (Qigong), meditation, and restorative movement. All programs are tailored to individual needs, with particular attention given to long-haul travelers, helping them address jet lag, fatigue, sleep balance, and recovery so they can reset deeply and return home feeling revitalized.

Nature is truly at the center of everything we do at Trisara. From snorkeling on our house reef and ocean-based adventures to outdoor dining and sunset experiences shaped by the landscape, we encourage guests to connect with the natural rhythms around them.
A key part of this is our Synergist team, a newly introduced group dedicated to personalizing each guest’s journey. Acting as intuitive hosts, the Synergists help connect guests with meaningful, nature-led experiences, whether on land or at sea, all are based on what resonates most with them.

At Trisara, we believe that wellbeing and indulgence don’t need to be separate. Our approach to gastronomy is about balance, and it’s led by our two signature restaurants, PRU and Jampa.
PRU was Phuket’s first MICHELIN-starred restaurant and also holds a MICHELIN Green Star, championing ethical fine dining through responsibly sourced local produce. Jampa deepens this philosophy with a zero-waste, regenerative approach, using ingredients grown on-site and sourced from trusted local farmers. Together, they embody Trisara’s farm-to-table ethos, while the MICHELIN distinctions reflect our long-term commitment to sustainability, craftsmanship, and mindful cuisine.

We’re continuing to expand our wellness offerings with seasonal retreats, integrative healing series, and curated programs designed to meet the evolving needs of today’s travelers.
Under the guidance of David Howard Melladew, guests can look forward to more advanced meridian therapies, Kiko (Qigong), and personalized wellness assessments. We’re also introducing seasonal nutrition sequencing, guided meditation immersions, and collaborative programs with visiting practitioners. These initiatives are designed to support stress resilience, sleep restoration, and long-term well-being, ensuring guests leave with benefits that extend well beyond their stay.
