Effective from May 1, 2025, Thailand is modernizing its immigration process with the launch of the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) — an online form that will replace the traditional TM6 paper arrival card.
To help our partners and their travelers prepare for this change, we’ve outlined everything you need to know below.
What Is the TDAC?
The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is a new, mandatory online pre-arrival form required for all foreign travelers entering Thailand. It consolidates immigration and health declaration procedures into a single digital submission, simplifying the process at the border and helping authorities manage travel data more efficiently.
Who Needs to Complete It?
All foreign nationals entering Thailand by air, land, or sea must submit the TDAC before arrival, except in the following cases:
- Transit passengers who do not pass through immigration
- Border pass holders
When Should It Be Completed?
Travelers must complete the TDAC within the 3 days prior to their scheduled arrival in Thailand.
Important Reminder:
- Travelers who fail to complete the TDAC in advance may experience delays at immigration, such as needing to fill out the form upon arrival, waiting in longer processing lines, or being redirected to separate manual entry channels.
- While no official penalties have been communicated, we strongly recommend completing the TDAC as early as possible within the 3-day window to ensure a seamless entry experience.
How to Complete the TDAC
Completing the TDAC is simple and can be done via the official website:
- Visit: https://tdac.immigration.go.th
- Click on “Arrival Card”
- Fill in the required information:
- Personal and passport details
- Travel and accommodation information
- Health declaration (including countries visited in the last 14 days)
- Add additional travelers if needed
- Enter a valid email address
- Review the information and confirm
- Agree to the Terms & Conditions and submit the form
- Download or save the confirmation (PDF)
- The confirmation includes a QR code to be scanned at immigration
- It can be either printed or stored on a mobile device
Can Travelers Update Their TDAC?
Yes. Travelers can update their submitted TDAC using the “Update Arrival Card” feature on the website. However, core identity information (name, passport number, nationality, and date of birth) cannot be changed after submission.
Additional Information
- The TDAC must be completed in English.
- It does not replace a visa; standard visa rules still apply.
- The form is free of charge.
