Travellers need to walk up the hill to access Phnom Bakheng, which is manageable for most visitors with a reasonable level of fitness. The distance is approximately 300–400 meters uphill, and the walk typically takes 15–20 minutes at a moderate pace.

It is recommended to schedule this visit in the morning, as there are usually fewer tourists at the site.

Program:

08:30 – 09:00: Transfer from the hotel to Phnom Bakheng.
09:00 – 09:20: Walk up the hill to Phnom Bakheng to the meeting point at the bull statue.
09:20 – 10:20: Meet-and-greet with the specialist, followed by the on-site visit.
10:20 – 10:40: Walk down the hill back to the vehicle to continue with the next visit or program.

  1. Please review the client’s schedule carefully before sending your booking, as the specialist (Mrs Ginevra Boatto) may be unhappy if the clients arrive later than the time mentioned in your booking.
  2. The specialist handles bookings only by email, not by phone or Telegram.
  3. Please ensure that the clients already have their temple pass in advance. They should not purchase it on the same day, as this may delay the visit.
  4. The specialist will wait for the clients at the Bull statue on top of Phnom Bakheng.
  5. This visit does not require a licensed tour guide.
  6. If the clients do not have a tour guide escorting them, please mention this clearly in your booking email and request that the expert meet the clients at the entrance to Phnom Bakheng and walk up the hill with them.
  7. Payment: WMF will collect payment from the Accounting team the day after the tour is completed. Please be sure to inform the Accounting team.
  8. Cancellation: Cancellations will be accepted at no cost if communicated the night before a morning visit or the morning before an afternoon visit. A delay exceeding 60 minutes will be considered a no-show, and the visit will be charged 50% of the agreed contribution.
