This activity gives the chance to meet a family that lives in a peaceful village in Hang Dong district, in the rural outskirts of Chiang Mai and where the scent of the surrounding greenery can be enjoyed just by breathing in the fresh air. The family’s history in the Northern region goes back for 5 generations and a lot of their traditions remain unchanged. During the visit, travelers spend time and have fun with the family as they explain about the different aspects of everyday life and are encouraged to ask questions then the family are more than share ideas about their traditions, architecture, handicrafts, herbs, food and more. It’s an authentic experience to cook up a tasty meal over charcoal after exploring the traditional houses and the vast gardens.
