While tea is mainly associated with China, many people don’t know that Southeast-Asia actually also has a century old history connected to tea. The tour starts with a visit to a tea house run by an expat who is a genuine tea aficionado. He delights in sharing his knowledge about how tea has been used for centuries in Thailand, not only for drinking but also for eating. Guests can take the opportunity to taste some extraordinary teas as well as some “miang”, a locally fermented tea product that believe it or not, is slowly making its way onto the list of “super foods”. After the initial tea tasting they try out more new flavors with a lunch based on Northern Thai food.

- Kenneth Rimdahl always tries to do the workshops himself (in either English, Swedish or Spanish), however he is not always available. In such case it will be English speaking Thai staff running the activity
- The whole workshop consists of informal talk, watching a video on Monsoon tea and their activities, tasting of Thai teas, tasting of Miang, lunch based on tea/Northern Thai cuisine.
- The presentation / workshop is conducted in English (Swedish and Spanish on request). For other languages Easia guide will join the tour with FOC.
