Cycling through rural areas of the city especially Wiang Kum Kam’s site is the perfect activity to experience a true gem in a rich historical and cultural city like Chiang Mai. The tour starts towards the Pa Daed area, located just south of the city after picking up the bicycle depot. The atmosphere here is completely different from the city, while cycling along quite roads through green surroundings and local communities, it’s a great opportunity to see how local people go about their daily life. Along the way, there is a nice stop to visit some interesting places like former leprosy colony, local temples or the workplaces of local people. At the end of the tour, guests have chance to make their way towards the ruins Wiang Kum Kam, one of Northern Thailand’s most ancient historical sites. The ruins are remarkably less touristy than the famous temples found inside the city and the guides explain about the interesting history of this lost city.

During this cycling trip, you will get to know more about the rich historical and cultural history of Chiang Mai and its surrounding area.
