Phare Ponleu Selpak is an NGO based in Battambang and was founded in 1994 with a mission to provide artistic training to poor, young Cambodians. Furthermore, this organization also provides formal education from Primary to High School for underprivileged children.  The PPS Association began as a visual arts school and then a library, a child development center and then a social and health care center. Nowadays their Circus Skills School Group performs in Battambang as well as nationally and internationally.

• For a minimum of 1 hour spent with the guide of PPS, learn about their visions and missions, as well as the story behind the Phare Centre. The main parts of the centre are:
  • Arts schools: Visual & Applied Arts school and department, Performing Arts school with a music department, a theatre, and internationally renowned circus skills department.
  • Education: A kindergarten, a Child Development center, and a library
  • Art Gallery: all the artworks are the work of the students from PPS

  • Circus shows start at 7pm sharp with seating open at 6.45pm. The campus café, boutique and gallery open at 6pm for the enjoyment of the guests prior to the show.

Phare Ponleu Selpak est une ONG basée à Battambang fondée en 1994 qui a pour but de fournir aux jeunes Cambodgiens défavorisés, une éducation artistique. Cette organisation offre aussi aux enfants démunis une éducation classique de l’école primaire jusqu‘au lycée. Además, esta organización también ofrece educación formal desde primaria a secundaria y bachillerato a los niños menos favorecidos. La Asociación PPS comenzó como una escuela de artes visuales y posteriormente una biblioteca, un centro de desarrollo para, en última instancia, convertirse en un centro de asistencia social y sanitaria. A día de hoy, el Grupo Escolar de las Artes Circenses realiza espectáculos que cosechan éxito tanto en Battambang y Siem Reap como a nivel internacional.

Durante como mínimo una hora, el guía de la PPS le hablará de la visión y las misiones, así como la historia que hay detrás del Centro Phare.

Phare Ponleu Selpak è un ONG con sede a Battambang, che venne fondata nel 1994 da dei rifugiati che tornati nel paese dopo la dittatura dei Khmer Rossi, con lo scopo di fornire formazione artistica ai giovani cambogiani in condizioni di estrema povertà. Quest’organizzazione si impegna anche ad offrire regolare istruzione dalla Scuola Primaria alla Superiore ai bambini svantaggiati. L’associazione PPS nata come scuola d’arti visive, venne ben presto arricchita con una biblioteca, un centro di sviluppo infantile ed un centro di assistenza sociale e sanitaria. Oggi il loro Gruppo di scuola delle Arti Circensi (Circus Skills School Group) riscuote successo non soltanto a Battambang e Siem Reap, bensì anche a livello internazionale. Spendete almeno un’ora con una guida del PPS, per scoprire di più a proposito della storia, della visione e delle missioni che rendono dinamico e popolare il Centro Phare.

Phare Ponleu Selpak ist eine NGO, die 1994 mit dem Ziel gegründet wurde, jungen und/oder armen Kambodschanern künstlerisches Training zuteil werden zu lassen. Des Weiteren bietet diese Organisation unterprivilegierten Kindern formelle Bildung von der Grund- bis zur Oberschule. Der Verband startete als Schule für Bildende Kunst, später kamen eine Bibliothek, ein Kinder-Entwicklungszentrum und ein Gesundheitszentrum hinzu. Heutzutage tritt die Zirkus-Schulgruppe sowohl in Battambang als auch national und international auf. Sie haben vor Ort mindestens eine Stunde lang Gelegenheit, sich mit einem Vertreter des PPS-Verbandes zu unterhalten und etwas über die Mission, die Visionen sowie auch über die Geschichte der Organisation zu erfahren.
