How to sell it

  • Suitable for guests of all budgets, but an open mind and interest in culture is required (local customs, local food)
  • The local community “guides” only speak Thai; Easia guide is welcome to help with translation and can join any activities FOC.
  • Private tour
  • Good option to add when coming from/going to Phrae or the Huay Kon Laos border.

Why this activity

  • Nan is a beautiful region but most visitors only visit the city and temples, we offer the opportunity to experience local life
  • We think Nan is a region with potential that deserves to be promoted more, it can be an off the beaten track connection to Laos (Pakbeng)
  • To have activities in Nan and to be able to create links with Phrae – Laos border crossing (no visa on arrival available when traveling to Laos, visa needs to be arranged in advance)

Good to combine with

  • Nan city tour
  • Transfer to Huay Kon border (with Laos). Note that there is no longer Visa on Arrival available at the border
  • Transfer to/from Phrae

Do not combine with

  • Experience rural life in Nan: it is the same village with similar activities
  • Long transfers to far destinations (Phrae and Huay Kon border should be the limit for transfers)

  • For the connection to the Laos border a Lao visa is required beforehand. It is no longer possible to obtain it on arrival at the Huai Kon border.
