Armed with a long checklist of 16th-century design influences, Anantara Hoi An Resort (formerly Life Resort) has created an architectural triumph within a grand colonial-style mansion on the banks of Hoi An’s Thu Bon River. With  stylish interiors that offer an atmospheric dose of old-school charm (black-and-white photography, stone balconies), this  spot is set in tropical gardens, with split-level rooms and shaded porches surrounding a leafy courtyard garden.

The guestrooms offer a simple mix of comfortably contemporary furnishings in a largely  palette spruced up by bright orange cushions and bedside lamps. Bathrooms are plush, with mosaic tiling and an eclectic array of house brand products; the Junior Suites feature sunken baths. Daybeds, covered with silk cushions, both in the rooms and outside on the balconies, beckon one to ring room service immediately and order something chilled. Wooden floors, shuttered windows, ceiling fans, sunken stone baths and enormous beds evoke a genteel colonial past.

There’s a spa, a generous breakfast buffet spread in their restaurant overlooking the river, two bars, weekly buffet dinners.

Pros

•  Located in the city center and it is easy to reach the old town by walk or bicycle.
• Charming rooms and nice garden. Good services.

Cons

• The price is not competitive and hard to negotiate So we use for FIT 04 star prefer staying in the center without caring the prices to get the best services.
• The hotel is along the river and located in the middle of 02 streets so it is quite noise from street, the boat on the river in the early morning or yelped dog, cock-crow from the neighbor.
