This half-day cooking class takes place in the house of a local family in the quiet village of Ban Meun Na. Upon arrival, travelers are offered a refreshing welcome drink and the family members introduce themselves before the cooking starts. The class begins with an explanation and description of the menu and local ingredients used. After this, there will be a demonstration to guide participants on the proper techniques before they have an opportunity to make the dishes themselves with the help of the hosts. Depending on the season, local dishes may include minced pork and herbs, steamed Mekong fish in a banana leaf, and a traditional sticky rice dessert make with coconut milk. After cooking, it will be time to enjoy the meal.
