PAYMENT:

Payment is due 7 days after receiving the issued invoice from the Elephant Village Accounting Department by bank transfer to the following US$ account. In case of late payment, a late fee of 5% per month shall be applied.

CANCELLATION:

Cancellation must be done during office hours, 48 hours before the tour start time via Email AND by telephone call to the Luang Prabang office. A cancellation must be acknowledged by the staff, or a 50% cancellation fee will be charged. Cancellation of a booking within 24 hours of the tour start time or no-show will be charged 100% of the tour price. Cancellations fees, if applicable, are mandatory and shall be paid by the Agency. We recommend that you collect payment from the clients prior to the tour date to cover these potential cancellation fees. For large group bookings of 10 pax or more, cancellations must be done 1 month prior to the tour date, or a 100% cancellation fee will be charged.

Full Day Option

FDE – Full Day Elephant Hike
Laos was formerly called ‘Lane Xang,’ which means the ‘Land of a million elephants.’ Today, you will have the chance to experience and interact with these magnificent creatures. Upon arrival at the Elephant Village, you will be welcomed by the camp manager and receive a short briefing about the elephants. After your briefing, you will meet, feed and spend some quality time with the elephants before starting a 2-kilometer walking adventure through stunning landscapes until you reach a forested area, where you will enjoy a picnic lunch. Energized from your picnic, you will continue another 1 kilometer along the jungle trail to Tad Sae Waterfall, where you will relax next to or swim in cool, natural pools (water levels vary with seasonal conditions). Once refreshed, you will traverse the Nam Khan River in a traditional Lao long boat from the waterfall back to the Elephant Village. On the boat journey, you may get the chance to see how locals live on and around the river, fishing or swimming. After your adventure, you will travel back to your hotel in Luang Prabang.

Following the briefing, you will be treated to a pleasant river cruise aboard a traditional Lao longboat to Tad Sae Waterfall, where you will relax next to or swim in its cool, natural pools (water levels vary with seasonal conditions). Refreshed from the waterfall, you will head back to the Elephant Village to enjoy a delicious lunch at the restaurant. After your adventure, you will travel back to your hotel in Luang Prabang.

Day 1 – Elephant activities and Shangri Lao experience
Laos was formerly called ‘Lane Xang,’ which means the ‘Land of a Million Elephants.’ Over the next two days, you will have the chance to experience and interact with these magnificent creatures. Upon arrival at the Elephant Village, you will be welcomed by the camp manager and receive a short briefing about the elephants. As part of your introduction, you will learn how to give the elephants commands in Lao. Following this, you will enjoy a special Shangri-Lao lunch served at the beautiful Shangri Lao Tree House restaurant overlooking the Nam Khan River. You will then accompany your elephant into the jungle on its way back to its nesting area where it will rest until the next day, while you take a traditional Lao longboat to Tad Sae Waterfall. Here you can relax alongside or swim in the cool, natural pools of the waterfall (water levels vary with seasonal conditions). Feeling refreshed, you will travel back across the Nam Khan River in the same boat back to the Elephant Camp. On the boat journey, you may get the chance to see how locals live on and around the river, fishing or swimming. Nighttime at this incredible place is amazing. You will sleep in a luxury Shangri Lao double tent, after dining on a special set-menu served in the Shangri-Lao Tree House restaurant. Make an already magical day perfect with an after-dinner dip in the Shangri-Lao infinity swimming pool.

Day 2 – Elephant bathing and return to Luang Prabang.
This morning you will wake up early and head back into the jungle to retrieve your new elephant friend from her nesting area. You will then head down to the river to spend some quality time with them, and the rest of the herd. The guide will show you how to follow them into the river to bathe and scrub them happy and clean. Spend the morning asking the guide any questions you have about elephants in Laos while you enjoy a delicious breakfast in the Treehouse restaurant. Say goodbye to the Elephant Village and return to Luang Prabang city center in the afternoon.

Ensuite, vous rencontrerez les éléphants, les nourrirez et passerez du temps avec eux avant d’entamer une marche de 2 kilomètres à travers des paysages époustouflants jusqu’à ce que vous atteigniez une zone forestière, où vous dégusterez un pique-nique. Au cours des deux prochains jours, vous aurez l’occasion de découvrir ces magnifiques créatures et d’interagir avec elles. À votre arrivée au village des éléphants, vous serez accueilli par le directeur du camp et recevrez une brève présentation des éléphants. Dans le cadre de cette introduction, vous apprendrez à donner des ordres aux éléphants en lao. Ensuite, vous dégusterez un déjeuner spécial Shangri-Lao servi dans le magnifique restaurant Shangri Lao Tree House qui surplombe la rivière Nam Khan. Passez la matinée à poser au guide toutes les questions que vous avez sur les éléphants au Laos, tout en savourant un délicieux petit-déjeuner au restaurant Treehouse. Dites au revoir au village des éléphants et retournez au centre ville de Luang Prabang dans l’après-midi.

1 ° giorno – Attività con gli elefanti ed esperienza allo Shangri-Lao

Il Laos era anticamente chiamato “Lane Xang”, che significa “Terra di un milione di elefanti”. Nei prossimi due giorni, avrete la possibilità di sperimentare e interagire con queste magnifiche creature. All’arrivo al villaggio degli elefanti, sarete accolti dal responsabile del campo e riceverete un breve briefing sugli elefanti. Come parte dell’introduzione, imparerete a impartire i comandi agli elefanti in Lao. In seguito, gusterete uno speciale pranzo Shangri-Lao servito nel bellissimo ristorante Shangri Lao Tree House, affacciato sul fiume Nam Khan. Accompagnerete poi l’elefante nella giungla per tornare alla sua area di nidificazione, dove si riposerà fino al giorno successivo, mentre voi prenderete una tradizionale longboat laotiana per raggiungere la cascata di Tad Sae. Qui potrete rilassarvi accanto o nuotare nelle fresche piscine naturali della cascata (il livello dell’acqua varia a seconda delle condizioni stagionali). Dopo esservi rinfrescati, attraverserete il fiume Nam Khan con la stessa barca per tornare al Campo degli elefanti. Durante il viaggio in barca, si può avere la possibilità di vedere come gli abitanti del luogo vivono sul fiume e nelle sue vicinanze, pescando o nuotando. La notte in questo luogo incredibile è straordinaria. Dormirete in una lussuosa tenda doppia Shangri Lao, dopo aver cenato con uno speciale menù fisso servito nel ristorante della Shangri-Lao Tree House. Rendete perfetta una giornata già magica con un tuffo dopo cena nella piscina a sfioro dello Shangri-Lao.

2 ° giorno – Bagno dell’elefante e ritorno a Luang Prabang.

Questa mattina vi sveglierete presto e tornerete nella giungla per recuperare il vostro nuovo amico elefante dalla sua area di nidificazione. Scenderete poi al fiume per trascorrere un po’ di tempo con loro e con il resto della mandria. La guida vi mostrerà come seguirli nel fiume per fare il bagno e strofinarli felici e puliti. Trascorrete la mattinata ponendo alla guida tutte le domande sugli elefanti in Laos mentre gustate una deliziosa colazione nel ristorante della Treehouse. Salutate il Villaggio degli elefanti e tornate nel pomeriggio nel centro di Luang Prabang.

Full Day Option

Elefantendorf – GTE – Ganztageswanderung mit Elefanten
Laos wurde früher “Lane Xang” genannt, was “Land der Millionen Elefanten” bedeutet. Heute werden Sie die Gelegenheit haben, diese prächtigen Tiere zu erleben und mit ihnen zu interagieren. Bei Ihrer Ankunft im Elefanten-Dorf werden Sie vom Camp-Manager begrüßt und erhalten eine kurze Einweisung in die Elefanten. Danach treffen Sie die Elefanten, füttern sie und verbringen ein wenig Zeit mit ihnen, bevor Sie einen 2 km langen Spaziergang durch atemberaubende Landschaften unternehmen, bis Sie ein bewaldetes Gebiet erreichen, in dem Sie ein Picknick genießen können. Gestärkt vom Picknick geht es noch 1 km weiter auf dem Dschungelpfad zum Tad Sae-Wasserfall, wo Sie sich an den kühlen, natürlichen Pools entspannen oder darin schwimmen können (der Wasserstand variiert je nach Jahreszeit). Sobald Sie sich erfrischt haben, überqueren Sie den Nam Khan Fluss in einem traditionellen laotischen Langboot vom Wasserfall zurück zum Elefanten-Dorf. Auf der Bootsfahrt haben Sie vielleicht die Gelegenheit, zu sehen, wie die Einheimischen am und im Fluss leben, fischen oder schwimmen. Nach Ihrem Abenteuer fahren Sie zurück zu Ihrem Hotel in Luang Prabang.

Anschließend unternehmen Sie eine angenehme Flussfahrt an Bord eines traditionellen laotischen Langboots zum Tad Sae Wasserfall, wo Sie sich an den kühlen, natürlichen Pools entspannen oder darin schwimmen können (der Wasserstand variiert je nach Jahreszeit). Erfrischt vom Wasserfall kehren Sie zum Elefanten-Dorf zurück und genießen ein köstliches Mittagessen im Restaurant. Nach Ihrem Abenteuer fahren Sie zurück zu Ihrem Hotel in Luang Prabang.

Tag 1 – Elefantenaktivitäten und Shangri-Lao-Erlebnis

In den nächsten zwei Tagen werden Sie die Gelegenheit haben, diese prächtigen Tiere zu erleben und mit ihnen zu interagieren. Bei Ihrer Ankunft im Elefanten-Dorf werden Sie vom Camp-Manager begrüßt und erhalten eine kurze Einweisung über die Elefanten. Im Rahmen Ihrer Einführung lernen Sie, wie Sie den Elefanten Kommandos auf Laotisch geben können. Anschließend genießen Sie ein spezielles Shangri-Lao-Mittagessen, das im wunderschönen Shangri-Lao-Baumhaus-Restaurant mit Blick auf den Nam-Khan-Fluss serviert wird. Anschließend begleiten Sie Ihren Elefanten in den Dschungel auf dem Weg zurück zu seinem Nistplatz, wo er bis zum nächsten Tag ruht, während Sie mit einem traditionellen laotischen Langboot zum Tad Sae Wasserfall fahren. Hier können Sie sich am Ufer entspannen oder in den kühlen, natürlichen Becken des Wasserfalls schwimmen (der Wasserstand variiert je nach Jahreszeit). Tag 2 – Elefantenbad und Rückkehr nach Luang Prabang.
Heute Morgen wachen Sie früh auf und gehen zurück in den Dschungel, um Ihre neue Elefantenfreundin aus ihrem Nest zu holen. Dann gehen Sie hinunter zum Fluss, um einige Zeit mit ihnen und dem Rest der Herde zu verbringen. Der Guide zeigt Ihnen, wie Sie den Elefanten in den Fluss folgen können, um sie zu baden und sie glücklich und sauber zu schrubben. Verbringen Sie den Vormittag damit, dem Führer alle Fragen zu stellen, die Sie über Elefanten in Laos haben, während Sie ein köstliches Frühstück im Treehouse Restaurant genießen. Verabschieden Sie sich vom Elefanten-Dorf und kehren Sie am Nachmittag ins Stadtzentrum von Luang Prabang zurück.
