Travelers will discover a Lao handicraft tradition with a visit to the village Ban Xang Kong, famous for handmade paper products. The first stop is at the “Artisans du Mekong”, an art gallery which showcases the work of local artists. After that travelers have an opportunity to meet with one of the artisans of the village who will reveal the secrets of “Sa paper”, a mulberry-tree based paper, and then work with them to create their own Sa paper.
