Guests start a fantastic bike tour by cycling on the ancient, royal ways, following the footprints of Khmer Kings, and exploring hidden, remote temples.
Guests will leave their hotel in the morning and pedal along the river eastward, escaping the bustling city. After a few kilometers, guests will start the off-road trail-riding on a dirt path through local villages, palm tree groves, and endless rice fields, finally arriving at the first remote temple: Banteay Ampil, which is surrounded by a small forest.
Then, guests will cycle to the main road and continue to Beng Mealea, where they will find their homestay residence. After lunch in a local restaurant, guests will start another adventure, exploring the hidden secondary temples in the surrounding areas. At sundown, guests will have the Beng Mealea Temple in absolute privacy.
Beng Mealea (Lotus Pond) is a 12th-century temple built during the Angkor Wat era. It is one of the most impressive temples, engulfed by the forest. It’s also famous for its appearance in films like Les Deux Freres.
Finally, guests will reach the homestay and be welcomed by the local family with a delicious Cambodian meal.

Guests will wake up early and enjoy a Cambodian breakfast from their local host family.
They will leave Beng Mealea and travel by van to Svay Leu Pagoda, from where they will start the second day of the tour. They will cycle North and around the southern part of Phnom Kulen Mountain, considered by the Khmer people to be the most sacred mountain, on a mix of wide dirt roads and untouched sandy trails.
The guests’ first stop will be two of the most beautiful religious carvings in the region, Peung Kom Nuo, situated on a small hill accessible by a steep trail, which can be traversed by hiking or biking. After the quick visit, guests will continue to explore various remote and hidden temples on the main road.
Guests will travel by van to Banteay Srei to reach the homestay, where the Banteay Srei CBT Association will welcome them. After the guests settle at the homestay, they will enjoy a delicious dinner cooked by locals and stay overnight in the warm accommodations.

Day 3: Banteay Srei – Siem Reap
Guests will wake up early in the morning and, after breakfast, depart straight from the homestay towards Siem Reap, cycling along the dirt road and through local villages. Along this trail, guests will have the opportunity to admire some stunning landscapes and pagodas. They will follow the old Royal Way, the road the ancient Khmer kings used to link Phnom Kulen to the Angkor Wat complex. Along the way, guests will also have the chance to observe the local community, try some local snacks, and learn about the Cambodians’ daily life.
Guests will then reach Siem Reap’s center directly by bike, arriving at the hotel and enjoying the afternoon to rest their weary legs.

- For the restaurant out of province and on the remote areas guide must call them before starting the tour to confirm about the food

Cet incroyable tour à vélo sur l’ancienne Voie Royale vous conduira sur les traces des rois khmers à la découverte de temples cachés.
Vous quitterez votre hôtel dans la matinée et commencerez à pédaler le long de la rivière en direction de l’est. Au sortir de la ville animée, vous prendrez un chemin de terre pour vous aventurer dans les villages typiques parsemés de palmiers et de rizières avant de découvrir Banteay Ampil, un premier temple isolé caché dans une petite forêt.
Vous continuerez ensuite sur la route principale en direction de Beng Mealea où vous passerez la nuit. Vous déjeunerez dans un restaurant local avant de poursuivre votre chemin et de visiter des temples cachés dans les alentours. En fin de journée, vous aurez le temple de Beng Mealea rien que pour vous!
Beng Mealea, qui signifie le bassin aux lotus, est un temple du XIIe siècle bâti pendant l’ère d’Angkor. Complètement envahi par la forêt, c’est l’un des temples les plus impressionnants et les plus connus. On peut entre autres le voir dans le film Les Deux Frères.
Vous rejoindrez ensuite votre logement et dînerez avec votre chaleureuse famille d’accueil avant d’aller vous coucher.

Vous vous lèverez de bon matin pour déguster le petit-déjeuner cambodgien préparé par votre famille d’accueil avant de quitter Beng Mealea en van en direction de la pagode Svay Leu. Vous enfourcherez alors votre vélo et mettrez cap au nord avant de faire un tour dans la partie sud de la montagne Phnom Kulen sur un mélange de larges routes non goudronnées et de chemins sablonneux. Vous découvrirez ainsi la magnifique montagne que les Khmers considèrent comme étant la plus sacrée du pays.
Vous vous arrêterez d’abord à Peung Kom Nuo pour admirer deux magnifiques sculptures religieuses qui se situent sur une petite colline qu’on peut atteindre en empruntant un chemin escarpé à pied ou à vélo. Après une visite rapide, vous poursuivrez sur la route principale pour partir explorer des temples cachés et isolés.
En fin de journée, vous vous rendrez à Banteay Srei en van et serez accueillis par l’association CBT de Banteay Srei avant de rejoindre votre logement. Une fois installés, vous dînerez avec vos hôtes et passerez la nuit dans une maison chaleureuse.

Día X: Beng Mealea – Banteay Srei
Se levantará temprano por la mañana y disfrutará de un desayuno camboyano cocinado por la familia local.
Posteriormente, abandonará Beng Mealea y viajará en furgoneta hasta la pagoda de Svay Leu, donde realmente comenzará la segunda parte de su tour. Su primera parada será en dos de las tallas religiosas más bonitas, Peung Kom Nuo, situadas en una pequeña colina accesible por un camino escarpado, aunque es posible llegar a ella en bici o caminando. Después de una rápida visita, continuará por la carretera principal hasta comenzar la exploración de varios templos remotos y escondidos.

Beng Mealea (che significa stagno del loto) è un tempio del XII secolo, costruito durante l’era di Angkor Wat. È uno dei templi più impressionanti, essendo totalmente immerso nella foresta e famoso per la sua apparizione in film come ‘Les Deux Freres’.

Sveglia al mattino presto per gustarvi una colazione cambogiana cucinata dalla famiglia locale. Lascerete quindi Beng Mealea e viaggerete in furgone alla Pagoda Svay Leu, dove inizierete il secondo giorno del tuo tour. Pedalerete verso nord e poi intorno alla parte meridionale del monte Phnom Kulen su un misto di ampie strade sterrate e sentieri sabbiosi incontaminati. Questa magnifica montagna è considerata dai khmer come la montagna più sacra del paese. Wachen Sie am frühen Morgen auf und genießen Sie ein kambodschanisches Frühstück, welches von der heimischen Familie zubereitet wurde.
Sie werden Beng Mealea verlassen und mit dem Van zur Pagode Svay Leu fahren, wo der zweite Tag der Tour erst richtig losgeht. Sie radeln zunächst nach Norden und dann auf einer Mischung aus breiter unbefestigter Straße und unberührtem, sandigem Weg um den Südteil der Bergkette Phnom Kulen. Dieser herrliche Berg gilt bei den Khmer als der heiligste Berg des Landes.
Ihren ersten Halt werden Sie an zwei der schönsten, religiösen Schnitzereien einlegen, und zwar in Peung Kom Nuo. Dieser liegt auf einem kleinen Hügel, dessen Spitze Sie auf einem steilen Pfad erreichen können – alternativ kann man auch mit dem Fahrrad hochfahren oder wandern. Nach einem kurzen Besuch der Stätte geht es weiter auf der Hauptstraße, um mit der Erkundungstour unterschiedlicher, abgelegener und versteckter Tempel loszulegen.
Am Ende des Tages werden Sie mit dem Van nach Banteay Srei zu Ihrer Gastfamilie fahren, wo Sie vom Verband Banteay Srei CBT empfangen werden.
