After a long day of rigorous temple explorations around the majestic Angkor Archeological Park, travelers will pass by the Srah Srang baray, a large water reservoir near the temples that were used as royal baths during the ancient Angkor empire and which offers beautiful reflections of the sun at sunset and sunrise.
Conveniently located on the banks of this baray, and just a short 10-minute walk through a small local village, travelers will arrive at a private, local, Khmer wooden house in a truly authentic village setting. With furniture and decorations made from locally-sourced materials and a nice garden surrounding the house, it is an excellent place for a well-deserved break.
